Crowdrise

The Amica Marathon is reaching out to the entire community in an effort to raise awareness and money for charity. This year we're making it easier than ever to let all of our runners, volunteers and supporters get involved and help make a difference.

The Amica Marathon has partnered with Crowdrise to encourage the entire community to unite and fundraise for their favorite charities. Just imagine the impact the entire community can have when harnessed to give back in a fun and compelling way!

Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House of Providence provides programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. Our two core programs are the Ronald McDonald House and the Family Room at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Both are designed to keep families close during hospitalizations. Research shows that a family presence in the hospital helps children heal faster. Our programs are unique in that they allow for families to spend additional time with a sick child, help ease financial burdens, provide a sense of normalcy to families, and keep families together during times of medical crisis. Maher Center

The Maher Center's mission is to promote the general welfare of individuals with disabilities, both mental and physical; to provide and/or refer cases for diagnosis and treatment; to counsel and assist parents; and to develop, coordinate and advocate for programs on behalf of individuals with disabilities.

The James L. Maher Center provided invaluable assistance at the 2011 Amica Marathon, stuffing goody bags, handing out medals at the finish line and manning the Indian Avenue water station on the marathon course with the enthusiasm runners need around mile 20.
